SENSATIONAL FIRE.
EXPLOSION OF CYLINDERS. METAL THROWN ALL DIRECTIONS. WOMAN BERIOUBLY INJURED. (United Press Association). (Rec. October 3, 10.30 a.m.) BRISBANE, October 3. A fire at Maryborough destroyed a large building occupied by Denhams Ltd., as a bulk store. It contained chaff and other products. Several explosions occurred among compressed-air cylinders stored in the premises and huge pieces of molten metal were thrown in all directions. One six-foot cylinder was thrown 300 yards over two blocks of houses. Another was hurled into a house across the street, a woman being seriously injured, and many windows In the vicinity were broken. The damage amounts to several thousands of pounds.
