FARMERS' QUARREL.
LEADS TO COURT ACTION. THREATENED WITH REVOLVER. TAIIIAP'I, Saturday. Edmund Charles Bail, a successful farmer of Tiriraukawa, was charged with: (1) unlawfully carrying a revolver and (2) wild presenting the revolver at Thomas W. Muir. The evidence disclosed that ill-feeling existed between both farmers in connection with the repairing of the boundary fence between the properties, and that on September JG the accused had presented a revolver at Muir. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges, and as he was an old and respected resident of the district, the Magistrate inflicted a fine of £3, with costs. He also informed accused that for the charge of presenting a firearm, he was liable to a fine of giOG, op three months' imprisonment.
