PARIS, October 1, The reporters of the French newspapers, which have enthusiastically applauded the exploits of the British airmen in the Schneider Cup race at Venice, since the arrival of the members of the team have besieged their hotel in attempts to interview the winner, Flight-Lieutenant S. N. Webster. The pressmen h.ave been unable to identify Lieutenant Webster, as the Englishmen in response to their inquiries invariably replied: "I am not Webster. He is not here."

Air Vice-Marshal F. R. Scarlett, the commander of the team, said in explanation: "We set out as a team. We won as a team and we are returning as a team with the cup." LONDON, October 2.

The spectators watched through rain, and mist the approach, in arrow formation, of the fighting aeroplanes, which escorted the air-liner from whi'ch Lieutenant Webster and his companions landed at the appointed time. They were greeted with cheers and cries of " Bravo!" and were formally congratulated by Air-Marshal Sir John Salmond,__ and were escorted to the pavilion "where brief speeches were made. Lieutenant Webster said he was proud to have won the cup.
