ACCOUNTANT DISAPPEARS
COAT FOUND ON RIVER BANK. NOTE TO EMPLOYER. CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. Some anxiety is being caused by the disappearance of Lionel Comerford, a well-known accountant, until recently employed by a city brewing firm. Comerford was in the city on Thursday afternoon, but his subsequent movements are not known to his friends. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Detectives and others have been searching for clues in connection with the disappearance of Comeriiekl. Yesterday afternoon a coat, since identified as-belonging to Oomerflelck was found on the south bank of the' Waimakariri, below the railway bridge. 4 In the coat was a letter addressed to the manger of Ward's Brewery, at which the missing man worked. The search of the river 'is being continued.
