MOTUMAOHO.
Farming Matters. * The Claudelands pedigree bull sale attracted a large number of Motumaoho farmers, and a number of wellbred Jerseys bred here were included in the catalogue. Several farmers purchased bulls for their herds from the very fine selection offered. Practically all the herds are now sired by a pedigree bull, Jersey being the most popular breed. The weather seems to have taken a change for the belter, and the boisterous winds gave place fo bright sun'shine: unfortunately the former dried up the pastures rather too much, although (he effect, on the. mud was beneficial and made il possible for farmers lo conlinOc sanding, which had been delayed by Ihe previous moist weather. The rows arc doing well, although in several herds tlmy arc corning in rather late: in fact, in most cases there will be n fair number of lat c calvers.
Personal. Master John Baker lias recovered from his severe illness.
