ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
EXTENSION OF ACTIVITIES. At a committee meeting of the Hamilton branch of the St. John Ambulance Association on Saturday evening it was decided to form new first-aid classes for men and women. It was agreed that those ladies who were unable to attend the minimum number of five lectures in the last class should be permitted to attend the new women's first-aid class free of charge. The secretary, Mr 11. Bcebe, sialed that from inquiries he had received, lie was of the opinion that widespread interest was being taken in the activities of the association.
The question of raising funds for She Hamilton association, the men's brigade, and the women's division, was discussed, and .t was agreed to ask the permission of the Mayor, who is president of the association, to make a public appeal about mid-November. Arrangements for a combined church parade were also discussed.
