N.Z. BIBLE LEAGUE.

INTERESTING ADDRESS. MODERN PALESTINE. Rev. L. Sale-Harrison, under the auspices of the N.Z. Bible League, gave an interesting address on Sunday afternoon in the Hamilton Town Hall, when there was a large attendance. The Mayor, Mr J. R. Fo.w, occupying the chair. Taking for the subject of his discourse "Modern Palestine," the speaker showed that the Jewish race would eventually possess the land from the River of Egypt to the Eurphrates, which of course includes Palestine. He pointed out that, conlrary to the general opinion, the Promised Land could easily absorb three times the present number of Jews in the world. Mr Harrison showed that the land of Palestine was being rapidly brought into a stale of fertility again through the efforts of the Zionists, and that many industries have already been started. There was a wonderful scheme proposed by which the* very valuable salts of the Dead Sea were to be extracted for commercial purposes. There was also a scheme to harness the Jordan for electrical purposes. The Hebrew language is spoken by 90 per cent, of the Jewish population and is being used in official documents. Many prophecies of Ihe old Testament were being fulfilled to the very letter, thus proving the accuracy of God's Word.

Mr Harrison will deliver his final lecture to-night in the Baptist Church, when he will lake for his subject, "A Panorama of Remarkable Contemporaneous Events/' "Are the World's Movements Signs of the Times?"
