LITTLE COURTESIES.

A man rises when a woman enters :tic room, whether she is his own age or older, and when be receives a \\oman caller in bis office. A young woman rises when an elderly woman enters the room. When leaving their scats during intermission. or during a picture, both men and women apologise to those whom they pass in getting out. “ Pardon me ” or “ Sorry ” is sufficient apology. It is not considered good form for a man to leave a woman alone between the acts, but when they are in a party the women often remain in their seats talking while the men go out to smoke.
