STRANGE TRAGEDY.
MURDER BY MANIAC. AN ORDER FROM GOD. TO PURIFY THE WORLD. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Rec. October 1, 9.50 a.m.) PARIS, September 30. The strangest murder in the history of the Latin quarter was committed in the apartment of a rich Venezuelan lawyer, FHcens, aged 27, the victim being Marguerite Gal Her, aged 19. Frlcens, it is alleged, made a statement to the effect that he had an order from God to purify the world. He said: “I asked Marguerite did she believe in God. She replied in the negative, and God directed me to make an example of her. I decided to burn her and set the curtains afire, but God extinguished tho flames; so I first strangled her, v then cut her throat.
