YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS. DEBATE ON RAILWAY STATEMENT. HOUSE TO SIT ON MONDAY. (Special Parliamentary Reporter.) PRESS GALLERY, Saturday. Railway matters commanded the attention of members of the House yesterday. It had been intended to dispose of the remaining items on the estimates but the debate on the annual railways statement, opportunity for which was provided by special motion moved by the Prime Minister, lasted sunicienlly long to render such a course impracticable, only the railway ' vote, £6,571,945 being dealt with.
