Enjoyable Dance, An enjoyable dance, organised by the Ilall Committee, .was held in the Public Hall. Among llio.se present I noticed Mcsdames C. Ramsay, green siik; J). Shaw, brown marocain; B. Neil, black silk; T. Neil, navy marocain; T. Ferguson, vieux rose crepe do chine; and Misses M. Ramsay, apricot . crepe-de-chinc; D. Shaw, green lace; H. Shaw, red velvet; B. Ferguson, green crepe do chine; J. Felt pink crepe de chine; E. Fell, pink marocain; E. Ferris, pink silk; M. Windsor, rose velvet; 1). Windsor, gold velvet; A. Windsor, rose crepe de chine; B. James, turquoise velvet; E. Neil, brown marocain; A. Neil, brown crepe de chine; Ethel Shaw, fawn georgette; Eileen Shaw, pink crepe de chine; B. Page, crimson velvet; J. Curie, orange satin; M. Baird, grey salin.; and It. Neilscn, cream silk. Music was provided by Miss D. Windsor (piano) and Miss A. Windsor (violin), while Mr Dunbar Moon carried out the duties of M.C. Football. A most exciting match was played in Mr Massey’s paddock between the Hautapu and Tauwharc senior football teams. Three minutes before the close of the game the local players were leading by 10—3, but in those fatal three minutes Haulapu scored two tries, converting the second, thus winning by 11—10. A curtain-raiser was played between [he Motumaoho and local school teams, resulting in a win for the latter by 9—3. Sickness. Mumps and heavy colds continue to prevail in the district, and as a result the school attendance is' lower than it has been for years.
