A most exciting match was played in Mr Massey’s paddock between the Hautapu and Tauwharc senior football teams. Three minutes before the close of the game the local players were leading by 10—3, but in those fatal three minutes Haulapu scored two tries, converting the second, thus winning by 11—10.
