RUGBY FOOTBALL.
GORDONTON V. HUNTLY. GORDONTON, Monday. Gorddnton played lluntly at Gordonton, and after a fast and interesting game defeated the visitors by 18 points to G. Freddy Peach was again in great kicking form, landing three, one being a particularly fine effort from the touch line. The versatile captain, Allen Smith again delighted the spectators by his brainy movements, beihg well supported by Ron. Mclntyre, who is the most improved player in the team. The forwards, who are an even lot, combined well in keeping out their opponents in many a willing onslaught on the line. Mr. Y'oung, of Orini was referee. JUNIOR C SECTION. This competition is in a most interesting stage, four teams, Pukemiro, To Iloe, Orini arid Gordonton being equal with eight points each. As Pukemiro play Tc lloc and Orini play Gordonton, the result of next Saturday’s matches will be looked forward to with a great deal of interest.
