LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
RESIDENTIAL QUALIFICATION. PROTESTS NOT SUSTAINED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable \ssn.l LONDON, June 19. At the annual conference of the Engilsh Rugby League held at Bridlington, Yorkshire, a cablegram was considered from the New South Wales, Queensland, and New Zealand Leagues. This suggested that the decision to remove the two years’ residential qualification from Dominion players should not be operative pending a conference in 1928 with the manager of the EngJl'i team which is going to Australia and New Zealand. The League instructed its secretary, however, to reply stating that the agreement had been terminated by the votes of the clubs at the annual meeting. Therefore it must no considered to have terminated as from June 18.
