ENGLISH COUNTY MATCHES. (Australian and N.Z, Cable Assn.) LONDON, June 17. In county cricket Kent, in their first innings made 463 (Harding 80, Woolley 96, Ashdown 122, Chapman 71). Haig took five wickets for 140. Middlesex, in their first innings, made 153. Freeman took seven wickets for 08. In their second innings they made 244 (Ilendrcn, CO). Kent won by an innings and G 6 runs. Hampshire, in their first innings, made 29G (Newman 72, Livsey, not out SG). In their second innings they lost nine 'wickets for 361 runs, and declared (Kennedy 118, Mead 64, Newman 78). Notts, in their first innings, made 147. Hampshire won on the first innings. Sussex, iu their first innings, made 329 (Bowley 83, Tate 59). Irvine took five wickets for 96 runs.. In their second innings they lost nine for 151, and declared. Cambridge, in thenfirst innings, made 352 (Judd 92, Dawson 54, Robins 85). Bowley took four for 41. In their second innings they lost live for 82. The match was drawn. Yorkshire, in their first innings, lost seven wickets for 480 runs, and declared (Holmes 120, Oldroyd 111 Leyland 00, Kilner 50).
