GOOD SERVICE.
WAIKATO RUGBY UNION.
RETIREMENT OF OFFICERS.
PRESENTATION TO MR W. FRASER. Eulogistic reference to the work of (he retiring officers was made at the annual meeting of the Waikato Rugby Union last night, when it was decided to place on record appreciation of the services of the retiring president ( Mr T. A. Cooper), hon. treasurer (Mr W. Fraser), and hon. secretary (Mr D. Mitchell), all of whom did not seek re-election. Tributes were paid to their energy and the time and hard work they had devoted to the interests of the union. All expressed regret at relinquishing their positions. > A presentation of a handsome walk-ing-stick was made to Mr W. Fraser (retiring treasurer), who, it was slatted, had done yeoman service and would be hard to replace. Mr Fraser returned thanks for the honour done him, as did the others whose efforts wore warmly praised.
