HAMILTON PIPE BAND
VISIT TO TOKANUI. On Sunday afternoon the Hamilton Pipe Hand (Pipe-major Clothier) under the auspices of the Sunshine League visited the Tokanui Menial Hospital, Kihikilu. They played several marching selections on the lawn to the delight of the staff and patients, after which the members were treated to a general inspection of the Institution. All expressed surprise at the pleasant surroundings, the brightness of the wards, etc. Everything possible is being done to brighten the lot of the inmates. Afternoon lea was served by the matron and slaff. The Medical Superintendent, Dr. MaoPherson, thanked the members of the League and hand for their visit and expressed the hope that they would come again. Mr Paget, the president 01' the Caledonian Society suitably responded on behalf of the band.
