AFRICA'S NATIVE LABOUR
ORGANISATION FORMED. AFFILIATION TO INTERNATIONALE FEAR IN MODERATE CIRCLES. (Received November 9, 9.30 a.m.) CAPETOWN, November 8. Considerable interest has been aroused on the Rand as the result of an application by the Industrial Commercial Union, a coloured organisation, for affiliation with the International Federation"of Trade Unions at Amsterdam. While this is no surprise to the extreme section of the Labour Party, nevertheless it is viewed with appre- ' hension by the moderates, who are convinced that sooner or later a' vigorous effort, backed by the Amsterdam International, will be maide to secure official recognition of coloured workers, which may precipitate a situation threatening the existence of trades unionism in South Africa.
