PALMERSTOM WORTH SITTING. HIS HONOUR'S COMMENTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Tuesday. The quarterly sil lings of the Supreme Court opened this morning. Addressing the Grand Jury, Mr Justice Reed stated that there was rather more than tlie usual number of criminal cases for trial, but none was of r.ny great importance. With regard to the charge againct Hubert Curacy, alleged theft of Borough Council funds, His Honour stated that the evidence hardly warranted sending the man forward for trial. However, that was for the Grand Jury to decide. It is an extraordinary slate of affairs," remarked His Honour, when traversing brieily the main facts of the case. "I can't understand it. There is nothing lo connect the charge with the man only the fact that lie was inside the counter. It is extremely weak."
