RESULT OF BY-ELECTION. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) TE AROHA, Wednesday. For the Te Aroha Borough Council by-election, caused through the death of the late Councillor John Frear, t\\ candidates were nominated, Messrs Stopford Lbslie Boles and John Charles Carrcll. Very keen interest in the contest was shown yesterday, it being the heaviest by-ele<rfion poll in Te Aroha for many years. The polling resulted:—Boles, 392; Carroll. 345 ; informal, 7.
