TROUBLE OVER WILL.

SUPREME COURT ACTION,

A case involving bequests under a will totalling £38,483 was heard before Mr Justice McGregor in Ihe Supremo Court, the parlies being lhe Public Trustee (plaintiff) anil various relatives or deceased Jane's Gray, of Pllmmorton.

Plaintiff, as executor, asked Ihe Court to declare probate. The defence alleged lhal Hie will was not executed in accordance with the Statute, bul lhal at the lime it purported to he executed deceased was not of sound mind, memory, or understanding, and did not know of Ihe contents of the will nor approve of them. The bequests were £2oo* to Christina Gra>, £ISOO to Arthur Sims, £SOO lo the Salvation Army, £OOO lo lhe llul! County Council for a tennis, bowling and croquet coin I at Pliiuinerlon. For plaintiff, Mr Findlny said deceased, who was fill years of age, was suddenly taken ill on August IS. 1'125. Deceaseds sister was asked lo lake a note of his testamentary wishes.
