Demand is better for wethers: ewes remain slow; demand for lambs is good, sellers inclined to press sales: frozen beef stocks are light, nominal prices; good enquiry for frozen pork, stocks short. SHIPMENTS FROM SOUTH AMERICA. The New Zealand Meat Prodncers' Board has received a cable from its representative at Buenos Aires advising the following shipments to the United Kingdom for the fortnight ended May 27, 1920. from ArgenLine and Uruguay:—l7B,soo quarters chilled beef, 20,755 quarters frozen beef, 57.223 carcases frozen mutton and 59,845 of lamb. The quantity shipped to the Continent of Europe during the same period totalled 32S quarters chilled and 107,000 quarters frozen beef; 23,339 carcases frozen mutton and 182 of lamb.
