Sontag (Otago), Clark (Golden Bay). Emergencies.—-Back; llecd (Nelson). . Forward: Washington (Marlborough) . PIAKO RUGBY UNION. At the weekly meeting of the Piako Rugby Union, (Dr. W. R. Lawrence presiding), a clearance was granted Ivan Piakc, who has removed lo Cambridge. The following players were registered under the union; A. ,T. Montgomery, J. Terrace, T. Davcy, L. • Knock, J. Bolton, B. Holt, G. Land and F. Dufty. it was agreed to try and arrange a third grade representative game between Piako and Paeroa about June 12. The financial statement showed the Union to have a credit balance of £56 7s Id. in the insurance account and £lO7 -is 2d in the general fund. A contribution of £3O was passed to the Borough Council towards payment of the lighting-of the grounds for night practice. Executive Meeting. The executive discussed the matter ■ of the junior and third grade fixtures. It was agreed that the City v. Terriers match 'be held over until after the third round. In the matter of the player who incited his team to indulge in rough play, it was decided that the referee’s decision be upheld and a caution administered. A player was suspended for a month for striking an opponent in last Saturday’s match. Fixtures. The draw for the next round is:— Seniors, June sth, Hot Springs v. Terriers; City v. United. June 19th, Hot Springs v. City; Terriers v. United. July 3, City v. Terriers; Hot Springs v. United, and Juniors, City v. United; Terriers a bye.
