King Fuad refused Ziwar's resignation and requested him to carry on until Hie crisis is settled. II is believed that an arrangement is impossible between Britain and Zaghlul, who it is reported will prorogue Parliament on June o without a Royal decree. ZAGHLUL'S VIEWS. NO EVIDENCE OF CHANGE. (Australian and \.Z. Cable Assn.i LONDON, June 1. ' The political correspondent of the Daily Express suggests that unless the demands of Zaghlul Pasha arc reasonable there may be a complete modification of the independence which was granted to Egypt in February, 1922. On that occasion Zaghlul did not accept four of the reservations made by Britain. The correspondent says that if Zaghlul were to decide now to take office himself the position would be one of concern to Britain. The Government to-day sent new Instructions to Lord Lloyd, High Commissioner for Egypt, to bring under the notice of Zaghlul the conditions entailed in Egypt's independence, and to inform him that the future depends on whether or not he becomes more amenable. The correspondent says ihat at the moment Ihe Government has no evidence of any change in Zaghlul's antiBritish views.
