JOBS FOR THE UNEMPLOYED. CONDITIONS IN HAMILTON. In view of a possible large amount of unemployment in Hamilton during the coming winter, the Borough Council last night, adopted the engineer's suggestions that in employing men on rlief works no man shall lie employed longer than Iwo weeks consecutively, no one to be eligible for rc-employmcnt until he has been off one week. Where possible piece- | work will be adopted, and no work j will be given lo persons who are neither resident nor ratepayers of the j borough. I
