The world is full of sensations, but it is safe lo say that for unabashed daring the thrills provided by Staigs “Globe of Death” at the XVaikalo XVinter Show would he difficult to rival. The “Globe of Death” is located at Jovland, at Ihe western end of the Ward* Street building. Yesterday afternoon and evening the “Globe of Death” was the centre of particulars marked attention by continuous streams of Show visitors, as the quality of Hie performance thoroughly warranted it in being. Mounted on motor cycles inside a steel globe cage, the St.aig Sisters performed astounding revolutions; including looping the loop, with an alacrity and daring that would hardly lio credible. Travelling at a terrific rale of speed and crossing and re-crossing within a hair’s-hreadth of each other, they held their audiences spellbound. The dexterity and daring of the, Staigs was truly something to marvel at. So highly skilled are they in this death-defying deed that the danger is more apparent than real. The “Globe of Death” takes the palm among the sensati.ons of later times, and after having seen them it is nothing lo marvel at the packed houses they draw, and are likely lo draw, at every session during the Show week.
