THREE MEN MISSING.
TRAGEDY AT ROTORUA. BOAT’S OARS FOUND. AN UNSEAWORTHY BOAT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ROTORUA, Tuesday. Word has been received that the oars of the missing boat have been picked up at Awatiou. The missing boat was old and not very seaworthy, and the engine was of a heavy type. Wolfgram, who is aged 28, has four children, and Douglas, aged 22, lias a son. The latter is ail old resident. The boy Matthews is aged IG. ALL HOPE ABANDONED. BOAT ON BOTTOM OF LAKE. ROTORUA, Tuesday. All hope has been abandoned In regard to the missing boat party, comprising Gustavo Wolfgram, aged 2S years, a married man with four children; Angus Douglas, aged 24 years; and a youth named Seddon Mathews, aged 10, all from Ngongotaha. At 5 o'clock this afternoon the boat was seen resting on the bottom of the lake in deep water, weighted down by tiio engine. Several benzine tins were floating about. Prior to this oars from the boat were found. BODY OF BOY RECOVERED. "By Telegraph.—Press Association i ROTORUA, Wednesday. The body of the lad Sedan Matthews was found this morning in the vicinity of the sunken boat. It was taken to Ngongotaha.
