Aitken, J's.P., Percy Thomas Timmins was charged with unlawfully converting to his own use a horse owned by Thomas Fawcitt, of Motumaoho, who stated that he left his horse outside the Motumaoho store, and when he returned it had disappeared. The accused said that he found the horse on the road when he was going from Motumaoho, and rode it into Morrinsvillc and left it at a livery stable there, stating as he did so that someone would call for it. The case was adjourned from Saturday in order to allow accused to call a witness to confirm his statement. Although notified by the police this witness did not appear.
