Successful Concert. The concert inaugurated by the To Rore Croquet Club, held in the Hall on Wednesday last, was well patronised, despite the unpropitious state of the weather. A varied and interesting programme was submitted hy the visitors to a most appreciative audience, who encored every item. Mr Buttcrworth (chairman), in opening the concert, said it was gratifying to see such a good attendance, and on behalf of the Te Rore people lie very much appreciated the neighbourly spirit shown in supporting the concert. The following programme was gone through:—Chorus, “Show Me the Way to Go Home,” Messrs Godfrey Brothers and James; song, “Ma Curly-headed Babby,” Miss A. Bell; recitation, “Mental Arithmetic,” Miss Aline Aislabie; song, “Back Home in Tennesee," Mr Hen Godfrey; song, “ Old Barty,” Mr W. Godfrey; violin solo, Miss Enie Aislabie; song, “The Murray Moon,” Mr James; song, “Adelia,” Mrs Lorimer; song, “There Ain't No Plies on Auntie,” Mr Hen Godfrey; song, Miss A. Boll; song, “ Polly Hopkins and Mr Tompkins," Miss Hodgson and Mr James; duct, “Mr Gallaghan and Mr Shean,” Godfrey Brothers; humorous sketch, “Tom Thumb,” Messrs J. O’Regan and Thompson; duel, “Life’s Dream is O'er,” Misses Bell; comic song, “ Tho P’lice Willi Get You Before Long,” Mr W. Godfrey. The farce, “ A Defensive Alliance,” performed by Mr and Mrs Thompson and Miss Hodgson, caused much merriment, and was much applauded. Mrs Waller Bell played the accompaniments in her usual efficient manner. After the supper adjournment an enjoyable dance followed, to the music supplied by Miss Enid Aislabie and Messrs Krippnor (violins) and Aislabic (piano), with Mr Lorrlmcr, M.G.
