AMATEUR CYCLING.
FIFTEEN MILE ROAD RACE. AUCKLAND, Monday. The Manukau Amateur Cycle Club held its fifteen mfie road race for the "noviee brigade" on Saturday afternoon. Seventeen riders started, of whom fifteen finished. G. McCallum, who was riding strongly, came off at the half-way turn, and was unable to continue owing to a breakage af his handle-bars. The race was won by D. C. Stewart, off lmin 30sec, who also registered fastest time of 40min 32sec. The scratch men finished only 30sec behind the winner. The result was: D. C. Stewart (lmin 30sec) 1, K. Rowc (2min) 2, T. Boucher (4min) 3. D. C. Stewart also made fastest time in 40min 23seo. E. J. Orr (scr) was second fastest in 40min 55sec. C. Gainsborough was third fastest in 4 lmin.
