RESTORATION OF LICENSES
THE OHINEMURI COMMITTEE. TE AROMA, Tuesday. It is understood that tiie members of the Ohincmuri Licensing llencli met informally at To Aroha last evening with the object of discussing Hie statutory provisions of the Act relative to the restoration of licenses in the district. This meeting was considered advisable in view of the fact tiiat the Oliineniuri Licensing Committee is the first committee in the Dominion required to deal with an application for licenses consequent upon the carrying of the restoration issue. It is understood that all tiie members of the committee were present, including Mr .1. 11. Salmon, S.M., the chairman, with Hie exception of Mr \V. F. Walters (Springdale), who was detained in Auckland. Of I lie 13 applications for licenses, only two of the original owners at the (line, no-lieense was carried, viz., Airs Crosby (Pacroa) and Mr John Kelly (Thames) are direct applicants. Tiie committee will hold its first statutory meeting at Pacroa on June 1.
