PNEUMONIC INFLUENZA.
DANGER TO THE DOMINION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. “Pneumonio influenza is bore all right, there is no question about it for wo have bacteriological proof.” This disquieting statement was made to-day by a medical man when his attention was drawn to the outbreak in Victoria, and the possibility of the disease spreading to the Dominion. He stated that for several weeks there had been a good deal of influenza about of tho tin-oat and fchest type, and in the past two or three, days there had been several cases of pneumonic influenza. With the increased severity of cold weather, which would lead lo people congregating round the fireside, conditions would be present for a spread of the disease. The. amount of influenza present was more Ilian usual at this time of tho year.
