A COUPLE'S ESCAPADE
ENDS IN POLICE COURT. CHARGES AGAINST YOUTH. (By Telegraph— Press Association.) AUCKLAND Monday. At Hie Police Court Stanley Hale Cawlc, aged 19, was charged with stealing a car valued at £224, the property of William Rental Gars, Ltd., and a girl, aged 17, who was arrested with him at Wellington, was charged with being an idle and disorderly person. It was staled I hat Cawto tried to sell the car at Wellington, and that there were defalcations of about £!ou at the place where Cawlc was employed. It is also alleged that Cawto threatened to commit suicide. Cawlc was remanded for a wccK in custody, and Hie girl until .May 11.
