NEW COMPANY FLOATED. What promises lo he the largest limber and land development scheme ever attempted in -New Zealand has been inaugurated in the past few days by the notation of Hie Toligarlro Hallway Company, w.t.i a capital of E'i2a,ooo, all of wnieli is being subscribed in Ureal Britain.
The company's plans include Ihet building of a standard gauge branch railway from Kakabi, on the Main Trunk lino, to a point near Tokaanu, on Lake Taupo, a distance of about 40 miles. This railway will open up the largest single area of mining limber in the North Island, comprising 00,000 acres, estimated to contain 1,000,000,000 super feet.
