tion of University Women, which has grown wllli great rapidity since its formation in 1919. in order to join the federation, which allows only one national federation from each country to join tip with it, the two great rival groups in America, the Northern and Southern Associations, linked up into one American Association of University Women. At Ghristlania in 1924 (he Irish Federation was admitted. This meant that the university women from the North and South of Ireland had decided to set aside their national difficulties in order to ho able to join the International Federation. In Czceho-Slovakia the Gorman women (who were resident in parts that belonged lo Germany before the Republic- was formed) wished to form a separate federation, but have now decided lo join in with the Czech women. A similar thing will probably haiipen to Ihe Ukraniau graduate women resident in several countries, who are at present anxious lo join as a Ukranian group. At the Chrisliania Conference a tiermau woman graduate present reported that (he German women had been unable so far to form a federal ion, but she was sure that one would he formed in time lo apply for admission lo the International Federation at the next conference, wiiieli is lo bo heir! at Amsterdam in July, 1920. At this conference Rumania, and probably others, will he admitted. China is interested, and is endeavouring to form a federation.
