BRIEF LIBERTY.
ESCAPED PRISONERS RECAPTURED TE AWAMUTU, Wednesday. Two inmates of the Waikeria Borstal Institute succeeded in making a brief dash for liberty yesterday at A I o'clock. They succeeded in gaining ; the open country about four miles ' away before recapture was effected | two hours later. i II is understood they had only been |at Waikeria for a few days, having j rome from Hi" South. They are servi ing long terms. A feature of the re-capture was ; that a parly of inmates gave valuable Miclp in the searcli.
