CANTEEN FUNDS.

The New Zealand Expeditionary Force Canteen Fund, with the help of interest, advanced during the year from £172,360 to £179,038, although £2OOO was paid to the Trentham Scholarship Fund and £1535 for regimental histories. An invitation was received by the board to be represented at a conference of patriotic and war relief societirs. This was accepted with the proviso that tlie Canteen Fund Board's policy was to conserve its money. The oilier societies arc at the point of exhaustion. The board is also in favour of amalgamation of all these funds.
