Received January 29, 10.50 a.m. LONDON, January 28.
(Mrs Pankhurst, who Is now over 70 years of age, returned to London on a visit from Canada. She says she is now a naturalised Canadian, and is more imperialistic than ever.
Questioned regarding the result of votes for women, she said: "We thought a miracle was going to happen. All reformers think that. We thought votes were going to bring Utopia, but they left human nature out of the question. Still, women have the vote, and the rest is for them."
