THE LATE MR. PATERSON.
FUNERAL AT NGARUAWAHIA. IMPRESSIVE BURIAL SERVICE.
The remains of the late Mr Thomas Paterson were laid to rest in the Ngaruawahia Cemetery yeesterday afternoon. The funeral was the largest ever seen in Ngaruawahia, and was attended by prominent citizens and members of local bodies from all parts of the Waikato. Among the mourners were lion. R. F. Bollard, Minister for Internal Affairs; .Messrs J. A. Young and D. Stewart Reid,’ M’s.P. for Hamilton and Waikato respectively; Mr T. Hinton, chairman of the Central Electric Power Board; and Mr ,1. Barugii and Mr W. H. Ilumc, act-ing-chairman of directors, managingdirector respectively of the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company. There were a large number of floral emblems, and messages of condolence were received from all parts of New Zealand. The funeral service in the Presbyterian Church and at the graveside was preached by the Rev. Mr Rimmer, and was very impressive. The pall-bearers were the late Mr Paterson’s four sons.
