ATTEMPTED MURDER.
HUSBAND WOUNDS WIFE.
WITH RAZOR AND REVOLVER

CHRISTCHURCH, Friday
A woman aged about 35, named Bavliss, was sent to the hospital this morning suffering from razor cuts and a revolver wound, allegedly .inflicted by her husband, who later attempted suicide, and was also sent to the hospital. It is alleged that Bayllss, who had been depressed for some time, wounded his wife with a revolver, while a neighbour was getting an ambulance because of the woman’s razor wounds.
The woman’s condition is serious
Tiie parties reside in Slater Street, Richmond.
William Bayliss is 40 years of age, and employed by the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Society, lie had been married about 20 years, and lias one son aged 19.
The motive is said to be jealousy
