DEATHS AT SEA. (By Telegraph—Press Association.; WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Two deaths occurred during the voyage of the lonic. Mrs E. Brown, aged 55, booked for Auckland, a thlrd-clas3 passenger, died one day out from Colon, after an attack of seasickness and asthma, and was buried at sea. D. McDonald, an able seaman, was found dead in his bunk last night. lie leaves a widow and four children in England. WELLINGTON, Thursday. The body of. Annie V. Miller, single, .iged 26, was found in the harbour. Some of her clothes werojound on the beach. § CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday. William Dougail McPhec, aged ID, died in the hospilal yesterday while under an anaesthetic. His father lives at' Aaieriey. DUNEDIN, Wednesday. ( Alfred Franklin Burnard, a tram conductor, aged 30, who had been in the Corporation employ only a few days, was crushed against a' wall in the car sheds by a frailer last nigh!, and died .after admission to the hospital. The deceased was a married ram, and had three children. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. While engaged shun Ling a truck from a goods train at the Mount Eden station yard this. afternoon, a relief porter .named A. B. Murphy slipped on a rail,, and one of the Wheels of a truck passed over his leg, badly crushing it. Murphy m a single man of about 27 years of age. He was removed to the hospital, it is feared the injured leg will have to be amputated, . AUCKLAND, Thursday. C. F. Fleihler, aged 58, a resident of Weymouth, was drowned in the Manukau Harbour at about, midnight, after landing a friend named West. The latter heard cries for help, arid :eavciied unmiccGssfunr. The police are dragging for the body. The deceased leaves a widow.
