The Food Council reports when the price of flour ranges from 40s to 42s for 28011). Hie price of a 41b. loaf should not exceed lOd; when flour is 32s to 365, bread should be Bd. \ variation of 4s alters the price of bread by Jd. These prices must he considered" Die maximum. Many bakers, especially where trade is mainly over the counter, are. able to sell more cheaply. Further investigation confirms the statement that the London bakers are charging exorbitant prices.
