SAMOAN CHIEFS.

VIBIT TO NEW ZEALAND. ITINERARY ARRANGED. HAMILTON INCLUDED. By Telegraph. —Press Association, WELLINGTON, Friday. Arrangements are well forward for the visit of eight Samoan Chiefs and Faipules, who will arrive at Auckland next Wednesday. The chiefs are being brought to New Zealand by the Government, and the programme has been designed not only to be entertaining but educative and instructive, as it is! desired by the Samoan Administration to transfer to the Faipules, c. native counsellors of the Samoan people ,an increasing share in the control and administration of their village affairs.

On December 5 the visitors will he taken to Rotorua, and on the following day will be received by the Arawa Maori Council. They will then visit Hamilton and Cambridge. The Chief 3 will arrive at Wellington on Saturday, December 13, their journey being broken at Shannon in order to see the Mangahao hydro-electric station. On the Monday a reception by Cabinet Ministers at Parliament Buildings will be followed by a Government luncheon. A trip to Masterton will be mdae on December 17, and on Monday (22nd) the visitors will be received by Has Excellency Sir Charles Fergusson, the new Governor-General. Next day the party will leave for Auckland, where they will remain until January 3, when they will depart by the Tofua for Samoa. A round of visits to industrial establishments and places of interest in ihe Northern city has been arranged.
