COMPETITION AFTERNOON.
Mrs D. Clark gave a nice little competition afternoon, during the vacation. The young people had a thoroughly enjoyable time unravelling tortuous competitions and a delicious lea provided a fitting conclusion to the happy hour. Mrs Clark, in the capacity of hostess, was perfect and the bright faces of her guests was sufficient appreciation of the efforts she had made to give them a good afternoon. Among those present were:—Mrs tfawke and Misses Cray, Hammond, W. Manning, V. Jolly, N. Manning, Knid Hammond, D. Yule. E. Gahe, E. Slrnmonds, Y. Robinson, Y. Bryant, E. Baillie, and E. Bindon.
