BETTER PLOUGHING.
A WONDERFUL INVENTION. Practical farmers who have witnessed the trials given by the Craig attachments in various parts of the country have been very favourably impressed with the simplicity of the device >*«« the class of work accomplished. The inventor, Mr Craig, is to be complimented on devising an attachment which (1), enables a short mould board plough to do the same work as a long mould board implement, and do it better and more completely (2), enables a farmer to do various types of work with one plough, i.e., the usual ploughing and turning the furrow on its back, and (3), saves money, labour, and time in farm work without the introduction of a complicated or expensive device. The attachment can be quickly and easily adjusted by any farmer to any plough of any number of furrows. It will, by so doing, either set up or lay the furrows on their back. When on their back the bevelled edge ensures well packed work and complete burying of all growth and rubbish. Rotting starts almost immediately, and the growth is turned into humus in the quickest possible way, thus in the one action, green manuring is obtained. The invention further, will fit all makes and sizes of ploughs. It is on exhibition at the Waikato Winter Show and is attracting large numbers of farmers. Those who are contemplating visiting Hamilton during the show period should not fail to meet Mr Templer, and have the many advantages of the invention explained to them. The exhibit is to be found at the furthermost end of the huge building, in which the show is being conducted. It is intended to conduct a demonstration at the Ruakura Experimental Farm. Our readers will be well advised to watch for the advertisement.
