THE BENZINE KING.

"Ah! if only it were the cup that cheers!" someone was heard to remark when viewing the "perpetual flowing can" at the Big Tree exhibit at the Waikato Winter Show yesterday. This exhibit and the replica of oil wells in action are attracting considerable attention and exciting a great deal of curiosity. "How can all that oil keep for ever coming out of such a small can?" asked a lady visitor. That, of course, could not be explained except by those few "in the know." We presume that Frank Farrell (who is agent for Big Tree and Plume) is "in the know." If so, is it possible that when he is in the act of filling his cellars he sometimes forgets the secret, and is consequently unable to stop the flow? This perhaps is a reason why he occasionally has extra large quantities of oil on hand. If this is the case, the Benzine King has the public's sympathy. When our representative called on Mr Farrell in the Showgrounds the other day he was most courteous, and a great deal of valuable information was learnt about the oil industry. As "no trains" means ultimately "no benzine," farmers who are in the habit of milking their herds by machinery should consult Mr Farrell about their supplies. One never knows —-perhaps the A.S.R.S. will again come out on strike. The successful farmer makes a point of carrying a few extra tins of benzine, .as the above is not the only manner which seriously affects his milking operations. The man on the land who relies on power for milking need not worry himself should another cyclonic storm send some of the poles at Hora Hora to terra Anna if he has a supply of benzine in his sheds. Mr Farmer and Mr Motorist —be wise and keep a supply of this valuable fluid at hand. The address of Mr Farrell, who can supply all your .requirements, is Collingwood Street, Hamilton.
