MILITARY CONTROL.
PRESENTATION OF NOTE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received May 29, 11.30 a.m.) ' j BERLIN, May 28. ' Dr. Marx has agreed to form a Cabinet. PARIS, May 28. An Allied Note has been handed toi the German Ambassador reaffirming the Allied standpoint regarding military control, mentioned in the Note sent on March last.
The Note referred to provided that an inlcr-Allied Commission was to verify in Germany Avhether during 1923 Germany engaged in new military preparations, and whether her disarmament can be considered finally completed. If the German Government agree to the inquiry and the re~ suits were satisfactory, the Allies would appoint a Committee of Guar-. antees, or similar effective organisation. The German Government must as a preliminary reply 1 in satisfactory terms to the five demands of 1922. The Note also dealt with amendments to the laws concerning the export of arms, and the demilitarisation oj police.
