MURDERED THEIR AUNT.
SENSATIONAL ITALIAN TRIAL. TWO BROTHERS ARRAIGNED. PRINCIPAL WITNESS GOES INSANB, Received May 28. 1i.30 a.ift. ROME, May 27. A remarkable murder case has icom* menced at Turin. Two young brothers, named Cogo, ; who have been, awaiting trial many months, were indicted for murdering; tiicir aunt, Carolina Cogo, and her housemaid. Rita Bordon. It is alleged. the accused students were short o£ money and believed they would benefit under Ihe will of their wealthy: aunt. So they broke into her house and strangled her and Bordon. They (hen propped the corpses on chaars and bedecked them with their aunt's jewels. Tiie servant girl made tha tragic discovery and informed the police and the arrests followed. The brothers made several, contradictory statements, one accusing the servant of being an accomplice. The servant (who would have been the principal witness) was unable to .testify, having' lost her reason owing to her terrify-! ing experiences.
