HARAPEPE.
New School Grounds.
The settlers in and around Te Pahu and Harapepe rolled up in large numbers and formed a working bee in connection with clearing the new school grounds, which were in a very rough state, and the parents are very grateful in all who assisted in making the playtime more cnpoyable for the little ones.
Pirongia Mountain is getting famous as a health resort. The beautiful water and scenery are only an hour's run per motor from Hamilton. This mountain should be a favourite call for tourists, and the Government should be asked to preserve the remaining part of the native bush. "We are now in the flush of the dairying season. . Shearing is about completed, and sheep farmers are looking forward to good results.
The minah,' has made its first appearance here,-and will not be welcomed by fruitgrowers.
