N.Z. EGGS IN LONDON.
TWO SHIPMENTS ARRIVE.
LONDON. Dec. 10. Mr Massey was present at a luncheon presided over by Sir James Allen to celebrate the arrival of the first commercial consignments of New Zealand eggs in England. The shipments. which consisted of 1600 and 1500 boxes, under the auspices of the New Zealand Co-operatives, arrived in excellent condition, and realised for the producer 15d and :18c! per dozen respectively. Owing lo the shortage of English eggs the consignments were welcomed by the market, which could have absorbed much larger shipments of eggs in equal condition. To-day's speeches emphasised the possibilities cf extensive trade with New Zealand. The Co-operative Association's representative stressed the ■fact that not a single penny for the purchase of the eggs would return to New Zealand. The amount realised would return in goods, thereby stimulating Empire trade.
