MURDER IN SYDNEY.
SHOT IN THE STREET. AFFRAY IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. United Press Association. SYDNEY, December 10. While Ernest Dunham, aged 28, was walking in York Street with a woman at a busy period of the afternoon he was accosted by a man known to him. High words ensued and resulted in an exchange of blows. A revolver was then tired and a bullet entered Dunham’s back, killing him instantly. Two policemen who were near by captured a man, named Cameron, with a revolver in his hand. Jealousy is stated to be the motive for the crime.
